These days, it’s hard to find a place for young children to play without membership obligations, or monthly financial commitments. So we’re sharing our kids top five indoor playgrounds to check out in the Northern SF Peninsula region that offer open play.
The Coop
Cost: $10/Child, Free Admission for Parents and Caregivers
Located in South San Francisco, The Coop offers a fun modern space for kids to play for hours (although one hour might be enough). The space includes an enormous ball pit, 2-story curly slide, super cool rope climbing tunnel, and a fantastic bouncer equipped with a basketball net. Or, kids can pow wow in the COOP teepee or dance the day away on the electronic dance and gaming floor. Tip: Don’t forget socks!
My Busy Town Learning Center
Cost: $10/Child, Free Admission for Parents and Caregivers
Located in San Bruno, My Busy Town is a new indoor play space for kids up to 12 years old, and has designated scheduled play times, so check their website for hours. Inside you’ll find it to be very clean, and we hope it stays that way! The $3500+ sq ft space includes an indoor playground area, a structure with a pretend city vibe, car buggies to drive around, play toys, dolls, food, etc. – Everything kids would love to explore and play, and great for their emotional, physical, and social development. Tip: Don’t forget socks!
Diddalidoo
Cost: $13/Crawlers and Walkers
$8/Non-crawlers
$8/Sibling with full admission sibling
Free for non-crawling sibling when accompanied by full admission sibling
Parents (up to 2 adults) free
Extra adults will be subject to $5 admission fee
Also located in San Bruno, Diddalidoo is just a couple doors down from My Busy Town, and offers a great little space for Toddlers 4 and under. This indoor space includes a mini version of an indoor playground structure, along with ride-on toys, blocks, toys, train table, and other activities for fine motor skill development. It also includes a designated area for crawlers. Bonus for parents and caregivers: A seating area with free wifi, with beverages and snacks available for purchase. Tip: Don’t forget socks!
Hop N Play
Cost: $10/Child (Free Admission for Parents and Caregivers)
Hop N Play, located inside Tanforan Shopping Center in San Bruno, your admission cost is good all day with unlimited play and in-n-out privileges on the day of purchase. Here you will find a fun little play area for kids to get their energy out. Equipped with a several motorized play rides, a climbing structure and slide area, children can enjoy their time, while parents can watch from the perimeter, if desired. Tip: Remember to bring socks from home!
Rec Room Creative
Cost: $15 play pass for (1) child and parents
More Pricing Info: $10 play pass for (1) infant and parents, additional guests are $10/child, and families with lots of littles can get the $25 nuclear family pass.
Located in Burlingame by the Avenues, Rec Room Creative offers a unique pretend play space designed for children six and younger. Let your kids imagination run free with their mini puppet theatre, pretend play activities, building blocks, magnets, and other unique toys.
